With the proceeds from the Pig Pickin' in the Park, the Cary-Kildaire Rotary Club has significantly impacted lives, awarding over $520,000 in scholarships since 1986. The James Atkins Memorial Scholarship has empowered 59 students at four-year institutions and 45 at Wake Tech Community College. Additionally, 25 residents of the Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina have accessed higher education and vocational training through the Bill Phelps Memorial Scholarship.
